EIT Food's Lower Silesia 360° project in Poland aims to demonstrate scalable regenerative agriculture across 20,000 hectares and 200 farms, focusing on rapeseed, wheat, malting barley, and sugar beet. The initiative, involving major supply chain players like Bunge and PepsiCo, emphasizes soil health, biodiversity, and farm viability, supported by a mix of public and private funding. It offers technical assistance and financial incentives to ensure farmers maintain income during the transition, with plans to expand the model across Europe.

Kubota Corporation has partnered with Norwegian start-up Kilter to promote the AX-1, an autonomous spraying robot for precise weed control in vegetable crops. The AX-1 uses AI and Single Drop Technology to apply herbicide with 6 mm accuracy, reducing chemical use and minimizing soil impact. The pilot, initially for crops like spinach and strawberries, will expand in Germany and the Netherlands. The AX-1 aims to replace manual labour, improve crop quality, and comply with EU regulations on low-risk herbicide use.
