TOWING, a deep tech start-up from Nagoya University, develops a high-performance biochar called "SORATAN", using proprietary microbial cultivation technology. It hosts over 1,000 microbial species on its surface, accelerating healthy soil formation while sequestering carbon to help decarbonize agricultural supply chains. In Japan, it has delivered average yield increases of over 20% versus conventional practice. SORATAN is expanding into Thailand, the USA, and Brazil through public-private partnerships, and TOWING is actively seeking corporate and channel partners for further market growth.
