Venjie V. Mencias
Vengie Villanueva Mencias is the Founder and CEO of Y’Nut Food Products, a homegrown Filipino food enterprise based in Carmen, North Cotabato, dedicated to transforming locally grown peanuts into innovative, value-added food products. Since establishing the enterprise in 2023 through the Young Farmers Challenge, he has grown Y’Nut from a grant-supported start-up into an operating food-processing venture with a developing product portfolio that includes peanut oil, peanut flour, peanut crumbs, peanut polvoron, Crunchnut, and Golden Spread.
His work sits at the intersection of entrepreneurship, agriculture, and food innovation. Through Y’Nut, he aims to create stronger market opportunities for peanut farmers in Region XII, promote local agricultural value addition, and demonstrate how a community-based enterprise can turn an agricultural commodity into a competitive Filipino brand.
