Dr. Siang Hee Tan is Executive Director of CropLife Asia, voice of the plant science industry, overseeing regulatory, crop protection, seeds, IP, biotechnology and communications across 15 Asian countries. He established UPM's Genome Centre and Sime Darby's biotechnology section, and managed two startups in bioinformatics and prenatal genetic testing. He holds BSc and MSc from UPM and PhD in Molecular Biology from Okayama University. Honours include a 2005 Geneva Silver Award and US Cochran Fellowship.
