Dr. Shoumo Mitra is APAC Director of R&D at Corteva Agriscience, Singapore, where he oversees the development of crop protection and biologicals. With 25 years’ experience in academia and industry, he held marketing and development roles at Syngenta and Adama. He earned his M.S. and Ph.D. from UMASS, winning the ACS Outstanding Young Scientist award for his doctoral research. He managed product development at Eco Soil Systems where he developed live biologicals and was a tenured full professor at California State University, Pomona also serving as visiting professor in Australia and Egypt.
