Shobha Shetty, PhD, is the Global Director for Agriculture and Food at the World Bank, leading efforts to build resilient, sustainable, and inclusive food systems. She oversees global strategy, partnerships, and operations that address hunger, climate, and biodiversity challenges while fostering innovation and agribusiness. Previously, she held leadership roles across Africa, South Asia, and global partnerships. Her work spans sustainable agriculture, irrigation, digital innovation, and women’s empowerment. She holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics from Cornell University.
