Ren' holds a degree in aquatic ecology. Before founding Blueyou in 2004, he worked in the Swiss retail sector where he was procurement manager for sustainable seafood. Blueyou is partnering with fisheries and aquaculture producers and leads efforts in improving the sustainability, social responsibility and economic viability of seafood operations, with a focus on small-scale producers and Fair Trade models. Blueyou's core competence are nature-based, restorative seafood farming systems which combine restoration of mangroves with harvesting seafood such as shrimp, crab and bivalves. Commercially, Blueyou acts as import and wholesale distributor for its branded frozen and canned seafood products in Europe, Asia and North America.
