Marisa Soares Rebelo is Senior Vice President, Global Open Innovation at Yara. She leads Yara’s global open innovation ambition, building the capabilities, partnerships and pathways needed to identify, validate and scale new solutions for sustainable agriculture and resilient food systems.
Marisa brings 25 years of experience across crop nutrition, digital agriculture, consumer goods and customer insight in Africa and Asia. Her career has spanned enterprise growth, business transformation, strategy, marketing, digital innovation and commercialization. This breadth enables her to connect customer needs, science, agronomy, technology, portfolio choices and commercial execution into an integrated value-creation system.
Marisa is currently shaping the next chapter of Yara's innovation ambition through Thryve Innovation CoLab, a global innovation growth engine that identifies, tests and scales breakthrough technologies and partnerships. Her focus is on building a world-class platform that links science, data, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, and ecosystem collaboration.
Looking ahead, Marisa is focused on proving a globally relevant model for corporate open innovation, strengthening Yara’s ability to engage the world’s leading innovators and converting complex food-system challenges into scalable growth, competitive advantage and measurable impact. She serves on the Yara Growth Ventures board and the International Fertilizer Association Innovation Advisory Board and is passionate about inclusive leadership and developing future leaders.
