Karin is the Asia Development Director at Katapult Ocean, a Norwegian VC fund investing globally in start-ups that have a positive impact on the ocean. She is currently building Katapult Ocean's new Asia Ocean Fund, expected to be Asia's largest fund investing in the ocean economy, in partnership with Octave Capital. Karin has spent the past years working with VC and early stage start-ups in Asia, both as an operator and investor, leading fundraising, strategy and building organisations from scratch all the way to Series B. Previously she worked in banking in capital markets and as a management consultant at McKinsey in the UK, South Africa and South East Asia.
