Dr. Kaiyu Guan is the Levenick ACES Professor, Blue Waters Professor, and Founding Director of the Agroecosystem Sustainability Center at the University of Illinois. He also serves as Chief Scientist for NASA’s Acres Program. Trained at Princeton (PhD) and Stanford (postdoc), Guan's research group combines computational models, satellite data, field work, and AI to study climate and agricultural sustainability. He has published 180+ papers, leads several major federal grants, and is recipient of numerous awards, including the AGU Macelwane Medal.
