Dan Kurdys

Executive Vice President, PAIRWISE, USA
Dan Kurdys serves as EVP of Business Development at Pairwise. His mission is to build strategic partnerships and secure resources that help turn scientific breakthroughs in plant gene editing into products that benefit farmers, consumers and the planet.
With over two decades in agriculture technology, Dan has led deals across investments, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, licensing, and divestments—covering everything from crop protection and biotech traits to precision agriculture, gene editing, biologics, and the latest in AI and blockchain applications.
At Bayer Crop Science, Dan helped launch the GenAI platform E.L.Y. and co-founded the AI Agribench Consortium. These initiatives deepened his belief that innovation thrives when skilled teams tackle tough problems together.
Outside of work, Dan enjoys cooking for his wife and four daughters, a role that keeps him well-caffeinated and occasionally funny (at least by dad joke standards).
Based in St. Louis, Dan also contributes to the ag community, serving on the board of AgSafe, a nonprofit focused on improving farm safety through hands-on education. He also serves as Parish Council President at St. Joseph Cottleville Parish.
