Chisa is the Managing Director and Co-Founder of Meros Consulting. Meros was established in 2016 by four international co-founders, with headquarters in Tokyo and an office in the EU, in order to support innovative businesses and sustainable solutions across the global food, agriculture, ocean and energy sectors. Chisa has nearly 25 years of experience in research and problem solving related to global agri-food trade and investment. She and her team work with agribusinesses, investors, entrepreneurs and governments to understand emerging opportunities, evaluate potential partners and bring the next generation of technologies, innovations and products to markets in Asia and the world. Chisa is a member of the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries' Advisory Panel on ESG and sustainable investing in the agriculture and food industry and serves as a board member and Director of International Affairs of the Japan Association of Agricultural Journalists (JAJA). She has a master's degree in agricultural economics from the University of Tokyo 's Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences.
