Professor Benjamin Horton is Dean of the School of Energy and Environment at City University of Hong Kong and President’s Chair Professor of Earth Science. An internationally recognised climate scientist, his research focuses on sea-level change, coastal flood risk, ice-sheet dynamics, and nature-based solutions. He combines field observations and modelling to understand past and future coastal hazards. Previously at NTU, Rutgers, and the University of Pennsylvania, he has advised governments, contributed to IPCC and COP processes
